Our students who attend our new Ancient Greek program went for a tour in Delphi last weekend and they visited the Delphi Archeological Museum! There they had the opportunity to see the double statute of Cleovis and Viton, the two brothers whose respect for their mother made them immortal. The story is included in Herodotus’ Historie. Dr Deligiorgis, our lecturer who was with the students is a specialist on Herodotes and so he did not miss the chance to speak with them based on the original text. It is worthwhile to note that when Pausanias visited Delphi, 2nd century A.D. he saw the same monument.
It was a beautiful experience!!!
Thanks so much
