According to the Greek popular custom, in New Year’s Day all members of the family gather together to cut Vasilopita (Pie), which contains a flouri (lucky coin), and whoever finds it, he or she, will be lucky during the entire year! So, we also cut Vasilopita at our school with our own “family”, our students, our staff, our teachers. Our student Nati from Spain found the flouri (lucky coin) and of course she was very happy! We hope that we too will “steal” some of her luck!
