On Wednesday 21st of March we celebrated at our school the International Day of Poetry. The event was organized by our Coordinator for Education Ms Eva Kokkori. We read some poems of famous Greek poets, Odisseas Elitis, Nikos Gkatsos and Giannis Ritsos that have been made as songs by famous Greek composers. Eva introduced the celebration by presenting brief biographies of the three poets. Our students and our teachers read the poems and then we listened to the songs, so as the students really understand the melody of Greek language. Of course we finished by discussing on Modern Greek poems.
