Understanding Greece: 200 years since the Revolution – The Polish Philhellenes

During the presentation of the 200 years since the Revolution, which was made by our principal, our very good Polish student, Thomas (level B1-B2) undertook to look for the Polish Philhellenes who fought in Greece. He found several and prepared a short presentation for them in the Greek language. Many fought in the battle of Peta (1822) but also in Messolonghi (1822-26). For them there are monuments in Peta and in the garden of the heroes in Messolonghi. Thomas also undertook to look for descendants of some of these Philhellenes in present-day Poland. We look forward to the information he will send us.
