Proud of Our Students: Another Success for Dragica Fabjan Andritsakos

We were delighted to hear from our former student Dragica Fabjan Andritsakos and to learn about her latest accomplishment: the publication of Moja zbirka, her Slovenian translation of Nikiforos Vrettakos’ poetry collection Η εκλογή μου. This is the first complete translation of Vrettakos’ poems into Slovenian — a remarkable achievement that follows her earlier translation of poems by C.P. Cavafy.

Dragica, a Slovenian classical philologue, improved her Greek at our School some years ago. It’s always a joy to see our students using the language in such meaningful and creative ways.

We warmly congratulate Dragica and look forward to adding her new book to our school library when she visits Greece.

We have also invited her to contribute to our upcoming student poetry anthology, where we will publish poems translated by our students in their native languages alongside the original Greek texts. We hope to include two of her Slovenian translations in this special edition.

Congratulations once again!
