Today, Monday November 21, Eleni Tragea showed the well-known old Greek film of Mich. Kakogiannis. The students enjoyed the well-known rebetika melodies of Hatzidakis, the scenes with Greek dances and the images from old Athens, Exarchia, Plaka and Kastela. After the film we discussed the revolutionary presentation of a strong and independent female character in such an old film. We also connected her narrative with ancient Greek tragedy by analyzing the concept of infamy.
