Invitation: Celebrating World Greek Language Day 2026

Everyone are warmly invited to attend a special cultural and educational event celebrating World Greek Language Day 2026, dedicated to the enduring legacy of Dionysios Solomos, the national poet of Greece.

The event, titled “Dionysios Solomos: Language and Freedom,” will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the War Museum of Athens (Ioannis Kapodistrias Amphitheatre).

Organized by leading institutions dedicated to the promotion of the Greek language and culture, and held under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other official bodies, the celebration brings together educators, students, scholars, and cultural representatives from Greece and abroad.
