A shared dinner with our late April groups 🤍
Learning Greek does not stop when the lesson ends—it continues in real life, in conversations, and around the table.
This week, our late April groups enjoyed a beautiful evening out at one of our favourite Cretan mezedopoleia in Athens, a place where food, culture, and connection come together naturally.
Eating like a Greek in real life 🇬🇷
At the heart of the evening was the idea of “Eat like a Greek”—sharing dishes, talking freely, and experiencing how important food is in everyday Greek life.
Our table was filled with:
- Traditional Cretan meze
- Fresh salads and seasonal dishes
- Homemade specialties
- Good wine and plenty of laughter
From the first plate to the last conversation, everything was shared—just like in a real Greek home or taverna.
More than a dinner: a cultural experience 🤍
These out-of-class activities are an essential part of our program at school.
In a relaxed setting like this, students:
- Practice Greek in a natural way
- Connect with classmates and teachers
- Experience Greek hospitality first-hand
- Understand culture through everyday life
This is where language becomes real.
Around the table at our favourite Cretan restaurant 🍽️
The evening took place at our well-known Cretan restaurant Oxo Nou, close to Exarchia Square—a lively neighbourhood full of energy and character.
As always, the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and full of conversation. The table quickly turned into a space of connection, laughter, and shared stories.

Learning beyond the classroom ✨
At our school, we believe that the best learning happens when students experience Greek culture directly.
Whether inside the classroom or around a dinner table, every moment becomes part of the learning journey.
A night to remember 🤍
Thank you to our wonderful late April groups for such a beautiful evening.
This is what we mean when we say: learn Greek, live Greek, experience Greece.
