WE CELEBRATED GREEK LANGUAGE DAY THIS YEAR
On February 15th, we celebrated our Language for the 7th time at the War Museum.
This year’s celebration had a theme entitled:
“Speak Greek to us”
The coordination was done by journalist Ms. Smaragdi Karagiorga, while as every year, the main burden of the organization was borne by the Secretary General of the Greek National Union of Greek Language and Literature, Mr. Giorgos Pavlakos.
The festive event was co-organized by the Organization for the Propagation of the Greek Language (ODEG), the European Society of Classical Philologists “Euroclassica”, the European Association of Teachers of Education (AEDE) and the Center for Greek Language and Culture “Alexander the Great” and was held under the auspices of: Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Sports General Secretariat of Hellenes Abroad and Public Diplomacy Following our invitation, the following participated with theatrical performances:
1. Schools “I Hellenic Education” – Amarousi High School with the theme: “Speak ONLY Greek, you can!”
2. Model High School of Agioi Anargyroi with the theme: “Babylonia 2025”.
3. School of Ancient Greek for children of Eleni Koulizaki with the theme: “Say it in the Greek language!”
4. Schools “Greek Education” – Heraklion High School with the theme: “Greek: A language without borders. A language that unites”.
5. School of Ancient Greek “FRONEIN” with the theme: “In the land of the Lotus Eaters”.
The event was welcomed by:

The presentations of all the educational institutions were inventive and were applauded.
