Helena Schrader, our student, is a famous American author of historical novels, six of which deal with Sparta. She and Herbert, her husband, have been students at our school, the year before the pandemy. This is how we got to know about her books and decided to help in their translation and promotion in Greece, a task that has been undertaken by our affiliate ALPHA PUBLICATIONS.

They started with a heroic king that has been published during September with the Greek title LEONIDAS OF SPARTA TOWARDS THERMOPYLAE.
The book was first presented at Sparta by the Municipality on the 27th of September and Helena participated with a speech in Greek together with our director Costas Karkanias.
