200 YEARS SINCE THE REVOLUTION of 1821: SPEECH BY CONST. KARKANIAS ON «THE GREEK LANGUAGE»

   On Friday 08/10/2021, in Athens, our director spoke on the above topic at a Conference organized by the Greek Institute of Strategic Studies (ELISME). The conference had the general theme: “200 Years since the Revolution of 1821: The Great Issues of Hellenism” and it was broadcast electronically. Const. Karkanias, presented Greek Language as a Great Issue of Hellenism.

   More specifically, K. Karkanias referred to the importance of the cultivation of the Greek (and any) language, as it coincides with our homeland and therefore our existence. He also referred negatively to the phenomenon of the use of foreign words and also the need to address it. He also spoke about the importance of the teaching of Greek Language to foreigners, as a source of both income and also political and cultural influence that facilitates understanding and cooperation among people.
