The Upper City of Thessaloniki is an area with a unique architectural style and picturesque little streets. Due to its location, it was the main fortress of Thessaloniki with defensive constructions which were built during the Byzantine and Ottoman period. A big part of the Byzantine Walls, that surround the city, is preserved and are now a beautiful part of the Acropolis.
A few days ago, the students of our school visited the Upper City and admired the beautiful scenery, as well as the views of the city and the Thermaic gulf.
