On 27th and 28th of August our President K. Karkanias travelled to beautiful Ithaca to discuss with the municipal authority and the representatives of “Ithaca Friends of Homer” Association and the “Centre for Odyssean Studies” for the “Return of Odysseus” program. He brought back many books and photos and ideas related to the program.
Between them two photos about the very beautiful sculptures that adorn the seaside square of the capital of the island called Vathi.
– The marble bust of Homer with the oracle of Delphi to the emperor Hadrian (117 – 138 A. C.)
– The bronze composition with Odysseus looking ahead and also roaming on his raft.
