Last week we had dinner with our students at the traditional tavern “The garden of Thermaikos Gulf”, which is located opposite the White Tower, the symbol of Thessaloniki. We ordered traditional dishes such as fava and herbs. We also discussed about the different ways of cooking various different ingredients. For example, boiled herbs with olive oil, salt and lemon was a pleasant surprise for our students, who had tried them only as a raw salad.
The students loved Greek wines and they believe that they could be exported in larger quantities to European countries!
