11th International Marathon “ALEXANDER THE GREAT” IN THESSALONIKI

The ancient Greek sport meets modern Greece in the “11th International Marathon Alexander the Great”, which is dedicated to the leading Greek athlete and man Stelios Kyriakides!
The Greek School “Alexander the Great” in Thessaloniki invites you to combine the love for sports, Greek culture and tradition with Greek language courses in our city!
The 11th International Marathon “ALEXANDER THE GREAT”, who in addition to his athletic dimension has cultural, social, historical, environmental, scientific and tourist character, will be hold on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 8.00, starting from Pella, the birthplace of Alexander the Great and the capital of ancient Macedonia, and specifically from the statue of Alexander the Great and ending in Thessaloniki Beach Avenue Alexander (statue of Alexander the Great).
The route of the Marathon is 42 km low degree of difficulty and are ideal for creating a record and great performance. The Health Roads & Power Walking 10,000 m. and 5,000 m. and the Way 1,000 m. for elementary school students are also included in the competition program.
