Our student, Dragica Fabjan Andritsakos, who is a teacher at the Classical High School of Ljubljana in Slovenia, spoke at the conference “The teaching of the Greek language as a way of cultural development” at Hilton, Athens on January 8th.

The subject of her speech was “The teaching of the Greek language as a way of understanding better the Slovenian culture”. Of course, she spoke in perfect Greek!

Ms Dragica Fabjan Andritsakos mentioned the interdependence between Greek and Slovenian culture, despite the distance among the two countries. She spoke first about the relation between the expedition of the Argonauts and Slovenia and she continued with references to etymology of some words and historical findings of Greek inscriptions in Slovenia.
